Or Perhaps a Night Owl

There was a mixed reception to the “Morning Poem”

(which I did not write) so I’ve scribbled this one quickly

in the hope of redemption, thanks a lot for the owl Bubba!!

Poem for night owls

I lay in bed one dark night,

Having only just turned in,

What I heard gave me a fright

For it was a fearful din.

I thought at first a train

Had somehow gotten lost,

The sound it shook my window pane,

And turned my blood to frost.

But no train sounded quite that sad,

More like a wolfs cruel howl ?

Wait….. more a hoot, that’s not so bad,

It’s only Bubba’s bloody owl !!!

Chuckles were handed out all around about the owl. Don't tell anyone but I laughed at the other one too. :) ec

Hi Peter ~~ Wow you still have IT.
I am glad you found the wolf's
howl would rhyme with owl.
And like Bubba said ~ the bird lived. I feel so much better
today, you wouldn't believe.
Cheers.
