Mostly about Vehicles.

This is a very convienent type of vehicle it's called a
"Senior Scooter"

Have you ever found that your ambition can run away with your
ability? Connecting Margaret’s computer to the internet, Yeah I
can do that, or not.

I spent about 4 frustrating hours trying to get Margaret’s internet
connection, this included an hour on the phone with a tech from
the ISP, all to no avail, GRRRR.

I spoke to her from Warrens this morning and the ISP tech is
going to contact her again this evening, they are quite sure they
will sort out the problem, as am I, just such a pity bloody Murphy
had to show up and rain on our parade.

I’m currently with Mr. LOUD and it has been suggested that we blog
a Peter says, WARREN SAYS conversation, I’ve only been here for
about 20 hours so who knows, we may have a conversation that is
fit to blog eventually, but we haven’t yet!!!

My reason for being in Brisbane this weekend is that I have
advertised my Commodore Utility (US readers, GM Pickup) I found
this vehicle about 4 years ago, when it was 11 years old and had
done 13.000 kms (8125 miles) it has now done 47,000 kms
(29,375 miles) and is 15 years old.

This vehicle still runs like new, it even still smells like new after
all those years, it is tricked up with all sorts of doo-hickey’s on
and in it.

I’m a bit sorry to think of it going, but can only drive one vehicle
at a time, Warren and I did our infamous fishing trip in this utility
(Oz word for pickup,) and it has just sat around lookin’ pretty since.

Because Brisbane has a population of about 1 million and Gympie
has only about 25,000 in the district it seemed to be a good idea
to bring it to the City for its sales promotion.

Bitten At The Dentists.

While waiting for her first appointment in the reception room of
a new dentist, Glenda noticed the dentists certificate, which bore
the doctor's full name. Suddenly, Glenda remembered that a tall,
handsome boy with the same name had been in her high school
class some 45 years ago.

Upon seeing him, however, Glenda quickly discarded any such
thought. This balding, gray-haired man with the deeply lined
face was too old to have been a classmate.

After the dentist had finished the examination, Glenda finally
mustered the courage to ask him if he had attended the local
high school.

"Yes," he replied.

"When did you graduate?"

"In 1952."

"Why, you were in my class!" Glenda exclaimed.

The dentist looked at Glenda closely and then asked,
"What did you teach?"

Well, Peter, I hope you have a happy time in Brisbane this week.
I predict it will be mixed. Visiting with Warren will be fun.
But selling the pickup might be sad.
I hope Margaret's high speed gets up and running while you can help.

When I 1st connected to AOL it went smoothly, but they were not that great of a service & I switch to SBC & to High speed & we had problems that they couldn't figure out at 1st. Finally they found it was on there end & fixed it, since then things are going smoothly. I hope your friend gets it up & running soon. Have fun on your weekend!:D

Loved the joke about the dentist. It is not far-fetched. When I was at the dermatologist he told me that he had told a woman her Medicare would cover a procedure. She angrily told him she was only 58 and not ready for medicare. He thought for certain she was at least 70!

So you're selling your old truck, and getting a senior scooter instead. Well, guess at your age, you don't have to go fast. But when you gotta go, you gotta go.

Are you trading in your utility for that senior scooter?
