I heard an old song on the radio this morning,
“How Much Is That Doggie In The Window”
The one with the waggally tail.
That got me thinking of all the strange songs that I could recall
from years gone bye,
I’m going to list a few of them by Name, and a memorable line!
Woody Woodpecker.
Hoo hoo, hoo, ha ha, that’s the woody woodpecker’s song.
Purple People Eater.
He was a one eyed, one horned flying purple eater.
Along Came Jones.
Slow walkin’ smooth talkin’ Jones.
Ding Bat The Singing Cat.
He was so cute but he sang flat.
Open The Door Richard.
Open the door and let me in.
My Old Man’s A Dustman.
He wears a dustman’s hat.
The Green Door.
One more night without sleeping.
Me And You And A Dog Named Boo.
Traveling and living off the land...
Charlie Brown.
Why’s everybody always looking at me?
Witch Doctor.
Ooh e ooh ah ah ting tang walla walla bing bang.
Dang Me.
They oughta take a rope and hang me.
Tip Toe Through The Tulips.
Hmmm, Sorry Tiny Tim, there wasn’t a memorable line in it.
James.
Hold the ladder steady.
Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep.
Woke up this morning and my momma was gone.
Long Tall Texan.
I ride a big white horse.
There are heaps more of these odd songs, let me know if I missed
your favourite.

Some good stuff there folks, thanks for contributing.
Yes, Peter, the response is mounting; but where do we start? It is so overwhelming - much like the tsunami victims in Indonesia last year - they have no electricity, no water, no clothing, no food, no shelter. It is unfathomable. Now disease is setting in from all the refuse and dead bodies (both animal and human). What karma we must have!
Thanks for the comment, Peter. If my son was leading the zip line, I probably would not have done it. He was known as the kid with no fear when he was young!
I heard a couple more on the radio this morning --
Dead Skunk in the middle of the road - stinking to high heaven!
Wild thing - I think I love you.
Enough Rope is a good show 9.30 ABC Monday nights.
