Email Chains

I don’t usually post things of the type listed below, but I received the undated
email below, I felt incensed enough by what it said to prepare the post below
complete with a scathing attack on the British justice system and the Australian
authorities.
However before posting I thought it worthwhile doing a little research, I
uncovered the second email and the comment thereon, so have altered my post
accordingly.
Don’t get me wrong, I am still just as incensed by the early release of these
young CRIMINALS as I was before, but I am also upset by the fact that
someone is playing fast and loose with the story and our emotions.
Take particular note of the comment at the bottom.

This was the email I received today

Something to think about - and take action.

Do you remember February 1993 when a young 3 yr old was taken from
Liverpool, United Kingdom, by two 10-year-old boys?

Jamie Bulger walked away from his mother for only a second and Jon
Venables took his hand and led him out of the mall with his friend
Robert Thompson.

They took Jamie on a walk for over 2 and a half miles, along the way
stopping every now and again to torture the poor little boy who was
crying constantly for his mummy.

Finally they stopped at a railway track where they brutally kicked him,
threw stones at him, rubbed paint in his eyes and pushed batteries up his
anus. It was actually worse than this . What these two boys did was so
horrendous that Jamie's mother was forbidden to identify his body.

They then left his beaten small body on the tracks so a train could run him
over to hide the mess they had created. These two boys, even being boys,
understood what they did was wrong, hence trying to make it look like an
accident.

This week Lady Justice Butler-Sloss has awarded the two boys anonymity
for the rest of their lives when they leave custody with new identities.

They will also leave early this year only serving just over half of their
sentence. They are being relocated to Australia to live out the rest of
their lives. (didn't think we were a convict settlement anymore)

They disgustingly and violently took Jamie's life away - in return they
each get a new life.

This is the researched article dated Jan. 2001

Description: Email petition
Circulating since: January 2001
Status: Outdated
Analysis: See below

Subject: FW: Please read and respond. If you have a small child, you will
get angry at our legal system.
On February 12, 1993, a small boy who was to turn three in March was
taken from a shopping mall in Liverpool by two 10 year old boys.
Jamie Bulger walked away from his mother for only a second and Jon
Venables took his hand and led him out of the mall with his friend Robert
Thompson. They took Jamie on a walk for over 2 and a half miles, along the
way stopping every now and again to torture the poor little boy who was
crying constantly for his mummy. Finally they stopped at a railway track
where they brutally kicked him and threw stones at him and rubbed paint
in his eyes and pushed batteries up his anus. They then left his beaten
small body on the tracks so a train could run him over to hide the mess
they had created. These two boys, even being boys understood what they
did was wrong, hence trying to make it look like an accident. This week
Lady Justice Butler-Sloss has awarded the two boys anonymity for the
rest of their lives when they leave custody with new identities. We cannot
let this happen. They will also leave early this year only serving just over
half of their sentence. One paper even stated that Robert may go on to
University. They are getting away with their crime. They need to pay,
and we have to do something to make them pay for their horrific crime.
They took Jamie's life violently away, and in return they get a new life.

Comments:
Regardless of how much outrage it may inspire in you, don't bother
forwarding this outdated message. Child murderers Jon Venables and
Robert Thompson were released from prison in June 2001, hammering
the last nail in the coffin of this already useless email petition.
The above description of the horrid crime perpetrated by these youths
is mostly accurate. As noted, the killers were given new identities upon
their release and are now living anonymously in different parts of England.

Hi Peter ~~ Jan sent this to me too. She thought and (I had heard they may come to Australia) so I hope you are right & they are still in England. Rotten devils.

I am waiting to hear good news from Laurie or someone. Julie"s
operation is on Wed. 18th, so we are starting to get nervous. Only have to get through 2 more days.

It seems this sort of thing is happening all over. We are going through the same sort of thing with our Justice(?) system here.

Even the police here are openly critical, but so far, to no avail.

What a horrible story, and I wish it was a total fabrication. Anyone who has the capacity to do evil like that should never walk free again.

Those hot cross buns look pretty tasty. I've been working hard to lose weight and almost anything looks delicious to me right now. Pass the butter!

Chain emails drive me insane... I rarely pass on anything like this and if an email looks like this in my preview pain, it goes into the trash.

If I do forward something, I generally look it up to make sure it's legit.

Have a great day :-)

I have no faith in our justice system in the U.S. either. And if I were ever called to jury duty, I wouldn't hesitate to say so.

I remember the videos of that little boy being led away.

Hi Grandpa, i was young when that happened but i still remeber hearing about it and i was horrible. if those kids had the nerve to do something like that at that age, can you imagine what kind of adults they are going to be.
