I love a sunburnt country. A land of sweeping plains. Of ragged mountain ranges. Of droughts and flooding rains.

What a Party
Have you ever downloaded photos from your camera and had a
"I don't remember that" moment?
I don't even remember which of the two parties I attended
recently this photo came from.
I do remember I enjoyed them both, now I have a pretty good idea
why for this one.
As a good friend of mine once said;
"He drank himself into Bolivia"
Same friend at the maternity ward when her daughter was due to
have her first child;
"I don't know why she hasn't had it yet, she's fully diluted"

It looks like the participants of this party may have been "diluted" as well, or maybe in Bolivia. :) ec
No wonder I didn't remember how I got home several times. All this time i thought I'd drunk myself into oblivion - now I find out I was in Bolivia all this time.
...Thanks for setting me straight, Pete.
somebody had some fun, look at all those beer bottles....lots of blue too.
Hi Peter ~ Is this my well behaved, clever brother? Or an imposter.
Looks like a great party, anyway.
Jacqui rang today from Shannon's and she and Walter are calling here tomorrow afternoon. It is years and years since I saw Jacqui, so will be nice to see her, and meet Walter. Then they are
going to see Keith and Anne. Cheers.
Thanks for 'bolivia' and 'diluted'. I also like the mother talking about her son's driving being a bit 'erotic'
Mrs Malaprop is alive and well!
That party was probably just a pigment of your imagination. And, by the way, if she was fully diluted, she was probably still having contraptions.
LOL_ That's so funny, Peter-your friends language mistakes!
:)... and 'Stringman' added to the fun!

I have never been to a party like that. And you can't make me go. Ahhhhh I missed another one :)
Like Lucy, I noticed that the colors of the bottles and packaging seem to match the hue of the roof. A pretty blue. Maybe it's just the way the photo came out.
I just LOVE it when people say stuff wrong like that!
I've heard people get "prostrate" & "prostate" confused.
holy cow peter.. that looks like it was some party! I have had the whole photo thing happen once, it was when I was taking photography classes and the person developing my work was highly fascinated with it. I forgot however that one of the rolls was from a very umm private surprise birthday party gift that involved nakedness and paint and other things... LOL I about died when I got home and realized what the photo was of that the clerk was asking me about. apparently I excel at abstract photography.
And yes... flip flops here are the same as thongs in your world. we used to have a style shoe called thongs here but they had the strap that went between the big toe and the second toe... flip flops are a broader category that include sandals with a strap across the mid section of your foot and they make a "flip-flop" sound as you walk and the shoe slaps against your heal. Coworkers hate them... but I really don't care!
Hugs, Meg
And then there was my friend, who "slipped a cartilage into my gun..."
Someone with two left feet would wear flip-flip's.
