Happy Weekend.

Hi folks, you might remember that recently I mentioned a new blogger,
Jacqui “The Bear Lady” I see that some of you have been to visit her, this
is just a tip, some of you might be interested in a series Jacqui has just
begun about her visit to the USA in 1997, it is often a different view
through someone else’s eyes.

Again some might remember that Jacqui is the mother of my four kids,
and while it is many years since we were married, we are still good friends.

While I am doing the plugs, please have a look at my photo site:
peters pictures, I am pleased with the way it is shaping up and would
like to hear any views, ideas, and criticisms you might have.

I know some of you already read “Meow” too, she offers an Australian
viewpoint that I find refreshing, have a look.

I actually stole the idea for my photo site from her, thanks Meow.

I was recently contacted by “Kelvin” he is a New Zealander,
(but we won’t hold that against him) who has to be one of the busiest
bloggers I have come across, of his many sites the one I would
suggest you have a look at is his“21 21 21 great blogs to read”,
take note of #615 if you visit.

My sister Merle and her son John arrived this afternoon, they are only
stopping for 2 days so we have been cramming lots into the short time
so far we are having a very bad football weekend so far, both Merles
and my teams losing, so discussion of football is of the agenda.

To finish this post I came across this little gem yesterday, hope you enjoy it.

Amish Elevator.

An Amish boy and his father were in a mall. They were amazed by almost
everything they saw, but especially by two shiny, silver walls that
could move apart and then slide back together again.

The boy asked, "What is this Father?"

The father (never having seen an elevator) responded, "Son, I have
never seen anything like this in my life, I don't know what it is."

While the boy and his father were watching with amazement, a fat, old
lady in a wheel chair moved up to the moving walls and pressed a
button. The walls opened and the lady rolled between them into a small
room. The walls closed and the boy and his father watched the small
circular numbers above the walls light up sequentially. They continued
to watch until it reached the last number and then the numbers began
to light in the reverse order. Finally the walls opened up again and a
gorgeous 24-year-old blonde stepped out.

The father said quietly to his son...
"Go get your mother."

Hi Peter, thanks for the encouragement & the plug, but I am nearly in tears here. I wrote another episode tonight, but when I posted it, it vanished, it happened to me once before so please keep your fingers crossed that it appears again.

I am going to be off the air for the nest few days, we are going to Morna's beach house & there is no power, phones or even mobile range. so if the post doesn't appear you will have to explain & I will catch up when I return, thanks jacqui

I've been visiting Merle lately and didn't know that you were brother and sister. After looking at your photos on your blogs, I can see the resemblence.

Looks like you've been busy Peter! I like seeing you guide ppl along. You read great blogs and its so nice to find new ones to read. Of course the more I read the less time I seem to have... tis a vicious (sp?) cycle. Enjoy your weekend!

And I've now read the etiquette post too that is great! Can't seem to leave a comment there (might be user error... prolly is). :(
