Wedding # 2 Perth WA.

Some pictures of a perfect wedding... I'm only slightly biased!!

A very proud Dad with the lovely Bride on his arm.

The brand new Mr. and Mrs. Galbraith.

Aimee, Lyn, Craig, Jenna, Alan, now isn't that a lovely group?

Traditional... cutting of the cake.

The family tree, Jenna, Alan and Lyn, Jacqui and Peter.

The same very proud Dad and his younger daughter Aimee who made
a beautiful Bridesmaid.

A not so proud Dad and Mum whose children just didn't seem able
to behave properly.

Once the threat of no pocket money sunk in they calmed down enough
for one good shot, I never cease to be amazed by the power of the
bribe or threat of punishment, ( I immediately did as I was told.)

Well the second wedding is over and done with, it was a wedding planners dream with every little detail fitting like a glove, once more a beautiful setting on the banks of the Swan River, the whole wedding party looked superb a lovely service, a great meal and the guests were very friendly, in all it was a great day.

I have had the chance to spend some quality time with my family (of whom I am very proud… just in case that hadn’t shown!!) so although it has been a rushed trip, because of my need to be back home for the eye surgery on the 27th, and as there are still lots of places to go and people to see I’ll leave Perth in a couple of days to do some more visiting.

You can get some idea of my kids fun loving personalities from the group photo with their parents and as this was the first time we had all been together for many years it has been a very special visit.

I am going to miss my Roo spotter on the return trip, both for the company and the extra set of eyes… I will limit my night driving considerably in an effort to conserve our National emblem.

The opportunities to read your blogs have been limited and that isn’t going to change for a while yet so please forgive my neglect of blogging duties and be assured I will catch up as soon as I can.

Hi Peter ~~ I have been waiting to see these photos. Everyone looked
very nice and glad you all had fun
together. Have a safe trip over the Nullabor. Glad you won't be able to see the G F - I hate to see a grown man cry !! C'mon Carlton !!
Looking forward to seeing you soon,
in spite of the fooball. Take care
Love, Merle.

Another lovely bride, Peter. You sure are keeping busy while away...but you sound as though you're having a great time.

I, too, behaved when I was told to do so as a child. There was no bribery involved. The threat of a whack across the butt was enough...kids rule the roost these days and I think it's wrong.

Enjoy the rest of your holiday and have a safe trip homewards.

I couldn't help but notice Peter, that in photo of the family tree, the biggest 'nut' was at the top.

After a good night sleep and time to reconsider changing my comment...I've decided not to.
I did however take a close look at your Grandchildren and then you. It's apparent that the same phenomenom is happening in your family as in ours. The men keep marrying up. And for good reason.
Although here the Bride and Groom are both good looking kids. Best wishes to them and the rest of Holties Gang.

Wandered over from Cliff's. I can see I will have to come back and spend some time with your dad's story. Very nice remembrance. Nice pics, too.

Oh, I love weddings! Your pictures are great--you all look so wonderful and the bride is particularly lovely. It looks like it was a really fabulous day!

Peter, both weddings were just lovely! How on earth did you manage two lovely brides in one family? Your entire family is gorgeous anyway. Thanks for sharing this with us :)

What a perfect time to manage a visit to your blog, Peter! Loved the weddings and I will somehow find a way to get back and finish the story of your dad's life. It is not only well written, but you make your dad very real. I feel as if I know him already and am wishing that I had in reality...absolutely great.

Sorry to hear about the eye surgery. My good thoughts and prayers are with you. Take care.

Which national emblem are you trying to conserve? You or the kangaroos? Both?

Either way, drive carefully and best wishes for your surgery.

Loved the pictures.

Great family photos at the wedding Peter. Who'd of guessed that the kids would do something as crazy as spoil (?) the photo. Shucks I guess some of your crazyness must of rubbed off on them too!! Both Aimee and Jenna looked beautiful. Alan has removed his moustache? Have a safe trip back to the east coast.
