Great post, Peter. I was born too late to see much of Mae in the movies, but what I saw, I thought was great. I love #25!

I don't think I've ever seen her in a film, but the fact that she's so well known, even today, says something for the impact she had on popular culture.

How wonderful it would be, to be so quick-witted! Dorothy Parker was also another lady of wicked wit.

#23 is her most famous quote, I think.

She was REALLY something, and very funny.

Oh...
I told my brother about Schapelle Corby, and we looked her up online while at our parents' house.
My brother had never heard of her case before, but he found it interesting and sad. It's funny how huge stories in one country don't make it to the major news programs of another.

I have seen a few movies with Mae West and have seen her on old interviews and read many of her Quotes.
She was a hell of a charactor and a very wise woman.
