Health update for Autum 2009

By virtue of the fact that I am still in Adelaide SA its obvious that

Vicki’s (Favourite Daughter) health is still a concern.

This charming suburban outlook is still “home” for the time being, the

unit is on the extreme bottom left of this photo, as you can see it’s a

lovely place to live, the circumstances that dictate why we are here

are the only problem.

The latest development in her ongoing health saga is that she has developed
cataracts on both eyes, these are apparently a side issue to Cushing's syndrome
or the medication regime she has been under for the last several years.
With the variety and volume of drugs she has taken its not too surprising that
there are reactions by her body to it all.
On Friday afternoon she had surgery to remove the cataract from her right eye,
apart from some grogginess and minor dis-comfort this surgery has gone very
well, we can only hope the next lot, in a few weeks time. will go as well.
That's probably the bad news (the cataracts, not the results) the good news is
that she is progressing very well with the treatment she is getting, the pain levels
are way down on what they were pre-Christmas and her general outlook is
much brighter than it was.
There is the down-side of being away from Rex and their home takes a toll, but
the hoped for results will make this worthwhile soon.
For those of you who have expressed interest in and offered prayers of support
we are most grateful, and it is a great pleasure to be able to write positively
about my favourite daughter... as an aside, when I packed the car for the trip
over I packed the Wheel-chair that I had bought for my Dad just before his
death, as we half expected that Vicki may well be consigned to it, she now walks
probably a couple of kilometers each day pretty much pain free.

Thank you all again for those prayers.

Damn! All I can say is, we all have different beliefs but I just want to get my hands on Vicki in the person and heal her myself! Some believe in prayer and others in medicine. My style is to lay my hands on the sick person and offer my energy with the help of others that have come before me! (Much like Jesus himself!)

We all come to earth with a purpose and a lesson to learn, for me Vicki for some reason keeps popping up! You may think me strange but I have healed a few people in my time and have no idea how I do it! I have a lot of love to give. I still suffer like the rest of the world, lots of bad things have happened to me and mine but for some reason I have the urge to help certain people. I have been sending healing to Vicki along with a few others a lot but I would love to hug her and help her myself. Im not quite sure how this is possible. I have kids that I cannot leave. For some reason the laying of hands on certain people is what is required to make them well. Indeed you can do this yourself, we are all capable its just a matter of believing and giving it a go! Don't give up, I have good thoughts about Vicki, she WILL be well, we just need to work together and sort it out!

Big hugs and smoochies xxxxoooxxxx

Hi Peter, it's good to hear that the treatment Vicki is receiving is have a good effect. I continue to pray that she gets better quickly, and is able to go back home to the farm. It is just wonderful that you are able to stay with her, during this time. I imagine that apart from the reason you are there, you are really enjoying spending time with your favorite daughter !!
Sending hugs and best wishes to you all.
Take care, Meow xx

Gday Peter, Thanks for the update on Vicki...

So please to hear Vicki's slowly improving and walking around, instead of using the wheelchair. sounds like you will be there a bit longer, well at least till she has her second eye operation. As much as your missing home. Vicki must be missing Rex and the farm. I wish her a very speedy return to the farm..Jan

Hi Peter ~~ Thanks for the update on
Vick and apart from the need for cataract ops, the other news sounds better which is wonderful. I hope she continues to do well and can get on with her normal life again. Looks like a long haul for you both. I am
having a few heath problems at present myself which hopefully will
come good very soon. Take care of yourself. Love to Vicki and youself.
Take care, Merle.

You are welcome, Peter, and I won't stop now. It is nice to know that there are some improvements and that the cataract surgery went well.

Thank you for the update. It really is good news. The cataracts could be caused by any number of reasons. The good news is we live in a great age, and they can be taken care of, and never return.

Ah, finally a bright spot in my day. I've been so depressed as I watch obama bring our country to her knees and then I get to read about Vicki. I'm so glad to hear of her progress and hope of returning to her farm. At least she'll have a future on the farm there in Austrailia. We're doomed to 4 years of hell on the farm here in the US.

What good news to know that Vicki is doing so well. It is a bummer about the cataracts. Thank goodness the surgery is working so well.

I can only hope that the Reiki energy that I have been sending to you and your family every day is of some help.

My best to you all.

When I skimmed this post, I thought it was bad news, I'm so relieved to find that's it's more good than bad! My thoughts are with you all.

Well, that's so good to hear, Peter. You and Vicki are in my thoughts a lot and I've been wondering how she's going.

Anyway, I bet she's grateful for your company and help. Sure, she'll be missing her home but sounds like she'll be back there before too long.

Hugs to you both.

Once again, to every one of you who have taken the time to comment, not to mention those who keep us in your prayers and thoughts - THANKYOU.
Life is much better now, still a way to go but certainly on the up and up.
Dad & I are going home to the farm for a few days which is really exciting.
Once again - Thankyou all.
Love Vicki xoxox

Peter, hopefully the cataracts is just a small bump in the road. Otherwise it all sounds encouraging. You are a good man and a good father. With support like that I can only imagine that Vicki will be getting even more good news and improvements.

One thing after another is always on the menu but Vickie is doing great and is a fighter.
Comes from good stock and refuses to lay back.

I'm so glad. I can tell when things are looking up, because you rejoin the Fun Monday'ers - you are able to think about something besides Vicki. I send prayers when you get quiet because I know you probably need them most then.

I'll add you to the Fun Monday list - and have a great time at the farm!
