Another crossroads, where's the GPS

Don’t worry I’m not going to tell you that I’m really a sun bronzed 6’2” 25 year old lifeguard… well not yet anyway.

But as we all know the internet offers the unscrupulous the perfect opportunity and venue to tell whatever lies they might choose and to take advantage of others intrinsic faith in their fellow man/woman.

What started me along this particular track was the fact that I’ve hit another “Writers Block” with my blog, when I traced the blog back to its beginning it was intended to be a humorous look at life and a vehicle for some well chosen jokes to, hopefully, create a few smiles and laughter.

A couple of years ago I was approached by the authors of “Humor Blog Directory” to allow them to list holtieshouse on that directory, when I checked today I found that my blog had slipped to a “good” rating on page 71, now I’m also not going to claim that it was ever very close to the top, but it was certainly higher than it is now.

So in another bid to keep holtieshouse alive and well I am again going back to my roots in the hope that will unclog the drain that is my brain, you can expect “anything” to follow this decision, very likely mediocrity at best.

Just remember,

Points well taken.

Besides, what are friends for?

Blog when you feel like it.

You don't have to be listed somewhere to be admired. We admire you just as you are. But, that comment about a 6'2", bronzed life guard is a bit much. You have posted at least one photo of yourself. Wazza would rat you out in a heartbeat if you tried. Unless you included him in on the game. snerx.

Make it a great day.

Well, IMHO, how good a blog is, is in the eyes of the readers.

I wonder.... long after we're gone, will any remnants of our blogs live on?

I for one, enjoy your blog Peter. I enjoy sharing your life in Oz, somewhere I wish I could go, but probably never will. You show me life in a totally new way and in a new perspective. Your family becomes friends to me.

Or maybe I'm the only one that feels that way....

Sometimes I feel 'blogged out' too. I always like to feel that I'm inspired by something when I'm blogging, but sometimes there's nothing to inspire me. Though humorous blogs are okay, I like blogs with variety too. Your's always seems to be one of the better blogs with that quality.

Peter, I like blogs with variety and yours always fit the bill for me.

I've had that BWO button on my blog for quite a while - even though I post every day - even when I have to really search for something to say. I like to think I don't HAVE to do it if I don't want to (but I want to)....LOL

Well Peter, I know exactly what you're talking about. Even if I had the time to blog every day...I probably couldn't do it without something going up in smoke. I love blogging, but I have to keep reminding myself..."It's an enjoyment...not a job." If I don't post as much as I'd like...I just can't feel guilty about it....and neither should you Peter. Hugs, Joy

I don't blog that often, certainly not every day, but I do read my friend's blogs almost daily. I don't always comment but do enjoy stopping by!
