Here’s da rules;
So for your assignment let’s hear about your favorite “Birthday”, it needn’t be your actual birthday just a "birthday" celebration. You can use one you planned, one you attended, one you crashed, just a fun time for this FUN MONDAY’S assignment, and of course you can use one of your very own Birthdays.
My “Best Birthday” story comes from 2 years ago and was my 70th…. 3 score and 10 or any other description you care to use.
It had been arranged that my favourite daughter Vicki would come to Queensland and using some frequent flyer points had booked us into a beachside unit at Noosa, Marcus’ son Zach was returning to England and as his birthday is on May 29 and mine is on May 28 we decided to include Zach in the festivities you can follow the link to read my post about this birthday.

I must say this was followed closely by this years 72 which again was spent with Vicki also this time with Rex too, and grandson Daniel and his lovely wife Jana.

What a wonderful surprize to be surrounded by the whole fun loving family. Well hope you have many more B'days and get to see the addition of another generation.
Hi Peter ~~ Glad you had some lovely birthdays with your kids. I enjoyed my last one too, for various reasons.
But we didn't have fairy-bread and that is essential at all birthdays.
You could have mentioned your book
that Jacqui made for you- which I have yet to see. Sorry Vicki still has so much pain & hope she can cope.
Take care, Love, Merle.
Family and friends make the best surprises.
That was alot of luggage Zack had with him LOL
My family surprised me with a lovely 60th. Great that they remember us at our age, isn't it?
I can see why that was your favourite birthday Peter! What a lovely surprise!
I have to wait 5 years for my 70, I just celebrated my 65th in Italy, but nothing special happened.
Now I am back into the cold and rainy weather ! grrrrr !
Hi Again Peter ~~ I just re-read the original post where the scrap book was well and truly mentioned. I do hope to see it one of these days.
Cheers, Merle.
I liked the photo of the 3 Happy Holts ---what a great photo!!! Loved the smiles on all you three men. Wonderful
72!! That's grand in itself. You certainly don't LOOK even close to 50 dear man...must have lived a great lifestyle to look so young and be a septuaginarian at that!!! High 5.
Aw, what a wonderful 70! Hmmm, that could mean #75 is going to be a very hard to pull off surprise!
You are the awesome-ist (my word for the day) 72 year old blogger I know :0) Happy Monday!
Happy Monday Peter!
Wow... my favorite birthday would have been my 18th. My friends kidnapped me! *LOL*
But that's for another blog post I guess.... *S*
It looked like a fabulous birthday Peter. Here's to many more to come.
My family pretty much all lives here, but I can imagine how thrilling it must have been to have your family members popping up unexpectedly for your birthday!
What a wonderful surprise your daughter pulled off for you! It sounds like it was a wonderful birthday!
What a fun surprise! I can't resist wondering what will happen on your 75th... :)
I love surprise parties when I'm preparing them for someone else! Your daughter did a good job of surprising you~ it's very special when all the family can get together and it gives memories to treasure.
It’s good to learn your 72nd was equally enjoyable!
Hugs and blessings,
What a wonderful party to celebrate your 7oth year. I wish you many more happy times.
Sounds like it was a great birthday! I love surprises.
My new grandson -- the Lil Caboose -- was born on May 28.
