“Our Village”

I came across this article today and felt that it was worth passing on:

If we could shrink the earth's population to a village of precisely 100

people, with all the existing human ratios remaining the same, it would

look something like the following -There would be:

57 Asians,

21 Europeans,

14 from the Western Hemisphere, both north and south, and

8 Africans

6 people would possess 59% of the entire world's wealth, and

all 6 would be from the United States.

80 would live in substandard housing,

70 would be unable to read,

50 would suffer from malnutrition,

1 would be near death; 1 would be near birth,

1 (yes only 1) would have a College education, and

1 would own a computer. (see it’s not all bad news)

I’m going to apologize in advance for this one, but it’s still funny.

PENIS STUDY

The American Government funded a study to see why the
head of a man's Penis was larger than the shaft.
After 1 year and $180,000, they concluded that the
reason that the head was larger than the shaft was to
give the man more pleasure during sex.

After the
US published the study, the French decided
to do their own study. After $250,000 and 3 years of research,
they concluded that the reason the head was larger than the shaft
was to give the woman more pleasure during sex.

Australians, unsatisfied with these findings, conducted their own
study. After 2 weeks and a cost of around $75.46, and 2 cases
of beer, they concludedthat it was to keep a man's hand from
flying off andhitting himself in the forehead.

Those world population stats are very interesting.
I'm embarrassed to say, I laughed at that joke. Looks like the Aussie's found their area of expertise.
