101 Plus things about me.

Another 50 things about me

Frank Sinatra once, long ago, released an album titled;

“Some Nice Things I Missed Along the Way”

If that was good enough for the great Francis Albert

It’s certainly good enough for me,

So I’m going to add to my 100 things list!

(which you can find listed on the sidebar.)

101 ~ I am a lover of the game of

Australian Rules Football

102 ~ Some will argue it’s far more than a game,

I’m happy enough to call it a game.

103 ~ As an offshoot to this, I am a staunch supporter of

The Brisbane Lions.

104 ~ I am strongly supportive of any Australian team or

individual no matter what the event.

105 ~ I have a love for the game of cricket on the elite

level, “elite level” usually includes Australia.

106 ~ I love to Blog.

107 ~ If you don’t know what that is click;

108 ~ I love my recently formed circle of blog friends.

109 ~ I used to love camping; now I love comfort.

110 ~ I still love nature, but at a more sedate pace.

111 ~ As I rapidly approach 70 I cannot believe it.

112 ~ I still “THINK” 45/50…. Well, younger anyway!

113 ~ My body can’t believe I’m that dumb.

114 ~ I am a Gemini; this seems to be a problem to

Some people.

115 ~ If I was a Leo, (or any other star sign)

that would probably be a problem to someone.

116 ~ My Mum died aged 76 in 1977

117 ~ My Dad died aged 90 in 2002

118 ~ I hope I got most of my genes from Dad.

119 ~ Did I mention that I love to blog?

120 ~ My memory isn’t as good as it was.

121 ~ I am a VERY emotional type

122 ~ I blubber at sad or happy movies, or when I

hear or pass on sad or “nice” news.

123 ~ Sad seems sorta normal, but why the hell

blubber at “nice”??

124 ~ I have a strange sense of humor, this is

sometimes miss-interpreted as sarcasm.

125 ~ Sometimes it is sarcasm.

126 ~ I love “Bush Poetry” especially by

A.B. (Banjo) Paterson.

127 ~ I write a little bit of poetry, not like

A.B. (Banjo) Paterson’s, (his is good.)

128 ~ I’m not overweight, I’m under tall, with my

waist measurement I should be 7 feet tall.

129 ~ Did I mention that I love blogging?

130 ~ My memory isn’t as good as it was.

131 ~ I am a total wuss where doctors are concerned.

132 ~ Hi George, he’s my doctor, well he might blog!

How the hell would I know?

133 ~ “I cook to live,” as distinct from, “I live to cook.”

134 ~ I love to pig out dine at an “all you can eat for

$8.00 eatery,” then have a diet Coke to salve

my conscience.

135 ~ I have a fantasy of taking my 3 sons, 1 son in law

and 3 of my grandsons to an “all you can eat” and

putting a Pizza Hut out of business.

136 ~ I enjoy the company of my extended family,

I regret not having kept closer contact.

137 ~ I was a skinny youth, I am no longer skinny,

the problem is my “big stomach bones.”

138 ~ I used to be 5’ 11” tall, I’m now shorter than

that, but I’m not saying by how much.

139 ~ My memory isn’t as good as it was.

140 ~ I miss my parents very much,

especially my Dad.

141 ~ My favourite TV show is “House MD”

142 ~ I don’t watch reality TV shows, however I do watch

a few lifestyle shows

143 ~ I have a very large collection of CDs

144 ~ I also have a large collection of DVDs

145 ~ I have lots of books, a lot of which I haven’t read yet,

may not live long enough to get through them all?

146 ~ I really enjoy Western movies, both old and new.

147 ~ Some of my favourite movie stars are:

John Wayne, Marilyn Monroe, Sandra Bullock,

Sean Connery, Meg Ryan, Humphrey Bogart,

Halle Berry, Charlie Bronson, Nicholas Cage

Goldie Hawn, Susan Sarandon, the list could go

on forever.

148 ~ Same could be said about my favourite movies:

On Golden Pond, Fonda & Hepburn.

The Dirty Harry Series, Clint Eastwood.

Dances with wolves, Kevin Costner.

A Fish Called Wanda, John Cleese, Jamie Lee Curtis.

When Harry Met Sally, Meg Ryan, Billy Crystal.

True Grit, John Wayne, Glen Campbell.

Thelma and Louise, Susan Sarandon, Geena Davis.

149 ~ This has been harder to do than the 100 list.

150 ~ Did I mention that I love blogging?

I'm not sure you mentioned blogging, but it's good to know! ;)

I hope you like blogging. I sure do!

Good list!

It is so much fun to read this, Peter. I love blogging too, of course. I used to be 5'10" but I have lost about 1/2", and gained too much! (even though I cook and eat to live, as you do.)

I love to blog too. I call fellow bloggers that I've gotten to know my "blog friends" too. My hubby thought that was funny, since these are people I have never really met. I said they are like pen pals.
I hope you have your dad's genes too, and then some!
Ordering a Diet Coke helps ease the guilt.

I, too, am too short for my weight. :)

I never was able to even finish my 100. don't think I'll try for 150 :)

How do people come up with this much stuff about themselves?

I don't even remember what color eyes I have.

Müzikdüde said...

BTW...A Fish Called Wanda is one of my all time favs

Peter said...

Hi all, You might notice that I haven't listed the colour of my eyes Muzik, they are a sort of blood shot brown I think.
By the way I love your 100 things list!!!

Hi Peter ~~ Another good list.
It seems quite a lot of us are shorter than we were and not tall
enough for our weight!!!

Cliff Morrow said...

I've read your post. Should it concern either one of us that we are very similar in our taste's?
I had a suit saleman call me 'fully developed'. You might add that into your vocabulary.
As I said, I enjoyed the list, it was a list wasn't it. My memory isn't as good as it once was.
Merry Christmas!

Hahaha! I love blogging too! And I'm a Gemini too! :)
It's great learning more about you!
Lois Lane

Big Dave T said...

I'm a Gemini too. Never occurred to me that some people might have a problem with that.

Interesting that there are no Australian stars among your favorites.

E.G. Mel Gibson, Paul Hogan, Yahoo Serious.

Road Warrior is one of my very favorite movies.

Peter said...

Hi Dave, It's surprising what slips your mind in the heat of list making, yes some of my favourites are from Oz;
Mel Gibson, Guy Pearce, Russell (Kiwi) Crowe, Bryan Brown, Naomi Watts, Claudia Karvan, Jack Thompson, Nicole Kidman, again the list could go on!
Same with films, an oversight not to mention any; The Man From Snowy River, is just one of my all time favourites.

Two things you forgot:

Actors: Leo Gorcey, Jay Silverheels

Things to do: You didn't mention whether or not you enjoy b**gging.

bubba said...

Do you really like blogging? LOL.

Karen said...

You love blogging? I never would have guessed. ;-)

Vickie sent me over, you've got a great place here. I'll be back.

Have a good day.

no.135, lets set it up. They'll never see it coming, I love it!

Da Gal said...

If you do successfully attempt 135 - please take pictures. I imagine the pizza boxes and other non-essentials will be strewn about like those beer bottles were after your last party.

Peter - again - another fabulous list. You and I have a lot of things in common. I think if my height were weight proportianate I would stand about 8 feet tall... then I know for sure everyone I dated would be shorter than me. As it stands right now they usually are since a lot of men are not taller than 5 11 and a smidge themselves. Oh well!

You're the best and I am happy happy happy that you sorta like to blog from time to time. Ha!
