This is a "Tongue in Cheek" comment on the good work the Police
do in trying to make our roads safe.. A thankless task.
On January 2nd which is the first shopping day of the New Year the
Supermarkets were stocked up with Easter "Hot Cross Buns" now
Easter doesn't fall until April this year (Good Friday April 6th) which
means that this promotion will last for just over 4 months.
That's what happens in our over commercialized world....
What about elsewhere??
This was the image in the Power Point Presentation sent to me by myGrand-daughter Jenna that really reached me, I'm forever complaining
about my feet... they ache, they're hot, they're cold, they're tired....
and don't get me started on shoes!!
Well not anymore, (well not for a few days anyway)

More of us affluent ones need to see this and then take action.
Those photos really make our overly greedy and whiny society look as shallow and thankless as we truly are. Thanks for reminding me to be thankful and to not forget to help those who are suffering.

Those sign answerers used my thoughts. According to Mrs. Jim I'm too hard on the law. But their freebies do raise the price of donuts and other food for all of us.

Wow, Peter, amazing post. It's true, we need to count our blessings and then do something to make this world a better place, even for one person.
I try not to add to the copper's donut fund and so far, have been successful!

Hi Peter, so far have not contibuted to doughnut fund. The powerpoint presentation really made me cry. I believe that celebrities who spend a western fortune raising one or two adopted children from these lives, could do a whole lot more good if they spent the same money to help a number of children to survive in their own countries in comfort. I know that is not possible in war torn areas perhaps. That is what I would do for children in countries where I could make a difference if I was really rich. I have friends who for $30 a month sponsor a child. This feeds and clothes the whole family and allows all the children to go to school. Some of these children have grown up and visited their sponsors in Oz. Sorry Peter I have written another book in your comment space.
