I write a Christmas message for family and friends each year
(it’s a 22 year tradition) and this is the third year I have done
one for my blog buddy’s.
I have some poetic friends who might want to join in to this
idea (budding tradition?)
Bloggers 2007 Christmas Message
Another Year has ended
And with this, I’m sure you will agree
I’m broke…. my money’s spended
Thank the lord that blogging's free
At what’s given and taken, both ends
Just to think that we, Yeah, you and me
Though still strangers, we’re friends
And with all of that hype
Cyberspace we fill up
With all the stuff that we type.
We are closer in “here” than with others
Here I’m searching for rhymes
I’ve got it… in “here” we're like brothers.
I often sit with tear in eye
The thing that surprises me most?
Just what has made me cry.
As I admire the writing skills
And I’m hooked, a fan thereafter
With all my morning coffee spills.
Whose memories and imagination
No matter whether false or true
Write our posts and avoid litigation.
Wherever from far or near
As you sit in your study’s
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
( If you celebrate some other form of religion or belief
I hope you have a good one)

Hi peter ~~ Good poem and hope to get the personal one as usual. I was a bit worried about your "talent" when I read those limericks. Not your best work in my humble opinion.
Hope all is well with you. I am going OK but get very tired these days and
the hot weather doesn't help. Take care. Love, Merle.
Great poem, Peter the Great.
And congrats on upholding your 22-year tradition! Guys like you make the holidays go 'round.
EXCELLENT post Peter!!!
You hit the nail right on the head with that poem... *S*
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you too my friend.
Great poem, Peter. After 22 years of working on such things, you should be quite proficient.
You did hit the nail on the head by mentioning the "closeness" we fell in the blogosphere.
Since there is no such thing as coincidence in my weird, wonderful, wacky world, I am glad our paths have crossed. I always look forward to your postings and the comments you leave on mine.
I wish you well. Have the merriest of Christmases and the happiest of new years. And, remember, there is always next year. LMAO.
