Fun Monday Jan. 21

Vicki is hosting this anniversary Fun Monday.

Heres da rules;

Here's the assignment. For those of you who did NOT post a picture of your view from your front door, then your assignment is to post a view from your front door. To do this you stand in your doorway looking outside and take a picture. That simple. We (I) want to see what you see when you look out your front door.

For those of you who DID post your view, link back to that post you posted a year ago, and then re-list your very first post ever. We want to see how far you've come baby! Also, if you can, post the comments you received on that post.

As I am a newcomer to Fun Monday I am playing by the first set of rules, here are the views from my front door;

This lovely house is directly over the road so its the first thing I see from my front door

If I glance to my right this lovely old home, now a Bed & Breakfast is what I see.

If I choose to glance left, along my veranda this is the street scene I see.

If I take a couple of steps forward, (and wait until Spring time comes around) this glorious
Jacaranda tree greets me, its the tree on the right side of the photo above.
Couldn't resist showing this photo, I have an annual love affair with the many Jacaranda
trees in Gympie.

While I am out there if I turn around this is the front door complete with my address
done in leadlight.

Hope you enjoyed your visit to "holtieshouse" now go and see some other Fun sites.

Hi Peter! The view out your front door makes me wish I'd waded on over to Australia when I toured New Zealand a couple of years ago--and stayed at your neighbor's B & B.

Ah, Queenslanders...there's nothing like them. In reference to houses, I mean that in a good way, in reference to people, not so much...

You live in a lovely place. Can I come for a visit? The Jacaranda tree looks very pretty.

B & B next door. Wish I had travel plans.

I can't tell you how much I enjoy that Jacaranda. I can imagine you filling your hands with the dropped blossoms and throwing them into the air and dancing - kind of like A Midsummers Night Dream

You have such beautiful views, I would love to have that veranda. So many hanging baskets and I do believe I've admired that tree before (or am I imagining this!)it's a lovely colour.

LOVE the door! Wow, that's really very impressive. You have a wonderful neighborhood. So serene and quite beautiful. The Jacaranda tree we had in Arizona where we used to live, and the are absolutely breathtaking!!!

Happy Fun Monday.

Oh geez, I am still laughing, what have I done .. My only excuse is that it was 7 am and I apparently wasn't there yet ! And as most of the bloggers belong to the female sex I didn't even realize that I was wrong ! Sorry !!

Great views. I can imagine sitting on the porch and spying on the neighbors - especially the people that visit the B&B next door. I gather from the vegetation you have no snow.... you want some? NLM

Great views, coming and going! And that tree? Enviable to have that in your line of view, even if it's relatively short lived.

Your veranda is inviting, too...I'd kill all the hanging baskets, I'm afraid, though :/.

Ooh I love your verandah, I always wanted one like that, especially when the kids were little. I would have loved one that went right around the house.

Love the views. I also noticed that there is no snow...or cold. I've never experienced a winter without snow and cold. That is an awesome tree. Those leaves are so pretty. I can't say I have ever seen one like it. I think we have something that we planted that apparently will have pink leaves..but they don't last long I hear.
