Fun Monday Feb 4

Fun Monday assignment Feb. 4 set by Tiggerlane from

http://tiggerlane.blogspot.com/

Here’s Da Rules.

Have you heard of The Bucket List? Well, that's what I want from you! Make a list of things you want to do before you die. It must be at least five items - and you can make it as long as you desire. Photos are optional. And let's hear about some of the wackiest, most bizarre to-do's on your Bucket List!

That last sentence brings a smile of delight to my face, for someone like me an invitation to be wacky and bizarre is in itself a dream come true so here goes, in no particular order;

Picture this, a luxury suite in a five star hotel where I am being attended by a beautiful lady, a sort of cross between Elle McPherson, Raquel Welsh, and Marilyn Monroe, (hey what did you expect Britney, Lyndsay, and Madonna? c’mon I’m trying to act my age here) the location is tropical and also beautiful but it is unlikely we will see very much of it for a couple of days.

Imagine the joy of being awoken from a deep sleep by a beautiful smiling young lady with the news that you have won $5 million in Lotto, ah, I can’t get the smile of my face just thinking about it.

I am not foolish enough to think that money can buy you health and happiness, even though I can still see that lovely young lady with the $5 million, but in my bucket I am going to have a morning when I get up with no aches or pains, my eyesight and hearing as good as in my youth.

As if by magic I am going to be transported back to September 1994, this is a couple of months before my world fell apart when my marriage broke up, but knowing what I now know there is no way I am going to let that happen, while I can’t remember a lot about those 14 years I recall how well BHP and Commonwealth Bank have performed, so that should keep the bucket topped up with cash.

I have enjoyed some wonderful meals over the years but there have been a couple of stand outs, like a delicious soup full of sheep’s eyes, a still pulsating cobra’s heart removed at the table with great flair, and everybody’s favourite, sushi, uncooked bloody fish!!! thank the lord I’ve got that bucket.

Oh by the way did you see the news headlines, peace has broken out in the middle east and throughout the rest of the world too, famine has been replaced by happy faces smiling and well fed every where in the world, now I’m not going to claim credit for these events but this bucket full of fertilizer helped the crops grow I’m sure.

Now you can go and read about all the folks who keep their feet a little more firmly on the ground, hope you all have a Fun Monday.

Too bad that won't all happen, Peter! I don't have a list, but I'd like to see the pyramids in Egypt, go back to Italy and Hawaii, win the lottery and put my grandchildren through college!!

I don't have a list Peter but I'd sure like to do some traveling and see more of this earth than I have seen thus far!

I'm glad you didn't go for those younger chicks!!

Waking up with no aches and pains and be 100% healthy in every way. I wish you could have that one Peter! You'd be feeling better than good!

Some of that bucket list can be done for sure....some unfortunately I think we won't see in our lifetime...but it is a bucket list so it is good to dream.

Ahh, what a nice break! If only your list would come true!

Why am I not surprised Peter? You start with the profane and go to the sacred. I'm sure that eye candy of your first wish would be entertained well with you on that luxury cruise.

To the more serious wishes, they will be shared by many as we read through everyone's lists, I'm sure

In that bucket full of ordure, there are some really good things, Peter. Of course, I sent you an email about what I'd like to do....

Peter, no need to keep your feet firmly planted on the ground when you're blogging. I'd fill my bucket with outlandish and wonderful things too!!
This was a great read!
I enjoyed your silly imagination, and I really DO wish you had no aches or pains, and that your eyesight was perfect. Also, world peace and no hunger would be super duper fantastic! I'd add no disease to that bucket too. That sounds like heaven to me!

I wish you well with the bucket and the babes. Thank you for the peace and end of famine, my list is much more self-absorbed than yours. Good work, Peter.

I knew you would have an interesting list. You certainly didn't disappoint. Great list Peter!

If no one fantasized, then we would still be working on the invention of the wheel and Spam (unless that was invented before the wheel). Nice list though. Mine would be more obtainable if I had the money in the bank too. NLM

That's not a list that's a dream, come down from your clouds, lol ! I couldn't make a list because I have already one foot in my grave !

As always, interesting take on the assignment. :)

The last part Peter, wow....very profound. That would be so swell with famine being replaced with smiling faces and world peace.

My Fun Monday is posted. I had a good time this week, voicing my opinions on Fun Monday.
Happy week to you.

Life does not always treat us as we wish!!
I would second the news headlines as that would be wonderful!

Hmm... to get over my fear of heights, to drive a NASCAR car, to drive a very exotic car (think Ferarri F40 or Enzo, or Saleen S7.. etc).
To meet Drew Barrymore (swoooooooon).

I'm sure there's many more too.. LOL

LOL! I loved your twist on this assignment! The last part was my fave!

Interesting, (and mostly sweet) list

Very cool list, except the part about being attended to by dead women.**LOL** Best of luck.

That is a nice Bucket List - if only some of it would really come true in our lifetime.

But hey - you can always get that still pulsating cobra's heart. (yech)

Joy T. said...

Well I hope the woman comes true on the tropical island somewhere. Adding in the no aches and pains anymore is probably a good thing, especially after finding that new woman! Great list.

Great list Peter! Especially the headlines...wouldn't it be wonderful? No starving children? If only...

Great list, Peter. A nice mix of whimsy and not.

I'm glad to see you don't go for trashy, troubled and barely past their teens. (Or, in Madonna's case just trashy.) That wish to be transported back in time is very touching.

As for your "wonderful meals", well, you can "Put 'em in a bucket." Now please get me a bucket.

I do hope at least some of your dreams come true.

Wow...this sounds a whole lot like "If I had a genie in a bottle" kinda list! I like the no pain request - I could handle that for one day. Thanks for participating!
