Back to normal

Sleepy Gympie is returning to normal.

There is flood debris hanging on the fences

The water level is still up a bit and the normally slow running river is still quite fast.

The track down to the river bank is open again, although probably slushy.

The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, alls well with the world.
(Except the bloody grass is growing over an inch a day.)

Peter, it's just a good opportunity to get some good exercise - cutting all that fast-growing grass!!

Glad you got home safe and sound Dad. C'mon Dad remember, the sun is shining, the birds are chirping, Peter's sitting on his 'ride on' John Deere mower getting NO exercise...it doesn't get much better! lol
Take care, Love Lyn x

Yes, but Winter is coming for you right?

I'm sure it's great to be back home.. but must have been nice to have seen so many people on your trip.

Hi Peter ~~ Glad the floods were no worse than they are. Keep away from those slushy roads. You haven't had to mow lawns for months ~ so get to it. I am walking better at last, still know it's still there.
Take care, Love, Merle.

I have been so good. I signed the guest book and left a photo. I am glad you are back. 16 weeks is a long time to be away from home. Floods are horrible. You know I live on a desert, but years ago, we had a horrendous flash flood here. It was very frightening and luckily no lives were lost, but there were some close calls. The house we had at the time was on a little rise and our only damage was in the garage area.

Good to know things are getting back to normal(?).

I meant to tell you that your banner photo is spectacular. Makes me wish I was a closer neighbor.

Now, don't you have a yard to mow? snerx.
