The Video Store Revisited.

This is a follow up post on one I did 12 months ago.

This is just a cheap shot, because I happen to like both the movie
and this send up cover.

Video Store Episode; 2005.

Edited by request, to protect the innocent.

Don’t you just love it when a plan comes together like that, we
compared the images on a few covers both with and without the aid of
my magnifying glass, they said mine was much larger than his, (we are
talking about magnifying glasses here... try to keep up) to be honest
unless you focused on a very specific image I didn’t think it was
worthwhile... Hmmmm.

My selected movie by the way was, Batman Begins, I had heard good
reports and found them to be correct, I enjoyed the movie, perhaps
a 7 out of 10.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This episode has been the source of quite a bit of mirth on several
occasions since then and was just begging for a follow up.
So in the interest of scientific research, and suitable blogging material
I made the sacrifice and offered to do a review of one of these movies.
The Video Store Episode; 2006
The Ultimate Bombshell Collection.
A Review.
After putting this DVD under the microscope, so to speak, it is with
regret that I report there is little substance to it and while it is
pleasing to the eye at times there is little to recommend it.
The dialogue is fairly limited, but one highlight came from Miss Erotica
Australia, when asked the secret of her success she promptly replied:
“I just get my pants off as quick as possible… Yeah, get nude.”
The visual side of the production, while it was better than the dialogue
left one wondering just how many ways there could be to display
perky silicone enhanced boobs, boobs that never change their shape
regardless of the position of the body they adorned.
The skills of the plastic surgeons who were the true creators of the
images I was admiring have to be applauded for the invisible stitches
they put over their incisions.
The glimpses shown of the strategically shaven lower sections that
some, but not all, the models seemed to demurely shield, added yet
another touch of unreality to the production.
This reviewer can only muster a vote of 4.5 out of 10, but in the
search for true talent is prepared to try another sample.
“It’s a tough job, but somebody has to do it.”
I have searched the shelves for another suitable movie, but at this
stage I have not found anything suitable, but the search continues.
Home Alone, while the image displayed here is certainly scarey
I'm thinking we need something more visually challengeing.
Brokeback Mountain. while the subject matter is controversial, there
has already been such a lot written about such a little that I'm inclined
to look elsewhere for my next subject.
Debbie Does Dallas has been sugested but the girls quickly told me
that this title, and in fact anything like it, just wasn't available......
so the search goes on.
I'd been thinking about dumping my NetFlix subscription. After reading this, I have one more reason to go back to renting movies at the video store!! Funny!
PS: Just how big is it?
In answer to word whiz, mine is 9 inches long and an impressive 5 inches in diameter, I found it a little hard to conceal under my clothing when I wanted to whip it out for the surprise impact.
Thanks for asking.
Great fun. I've lost count of the number of times I've seen "Four Weddings and a Funeral"...wonderful movie, one that brings something new to it every time I watch it. I've even got the video of it amongst my collection. Every time it comes on TV I get sucked in and end up watching it!
Well, G'day, mate, back atcha! Thanks for the visit and the browse. I've seen your pic and comments on some of my regular reads and should have stopped by here before. But being basically lazy and otherwise preoccupied, I hadn't. Until now.
As Arnold always says (since you're a movie buff)(oh, and insert here a deep Austrian -- not Australian -- accent), "I'll be back!"
The magnifying glass story cracked me up! He'd be better off to rent the movies ;-)
I have no interest in seeing Brokeback Mountain but I love Home Alone. It makes me laugh even though I've seen it countless times.
I heard that Debbie has done more than Dallas so you might get lucky in finding another film. ;-)
Have a great day!
Peter...I can just invision you with your really big magnifying glass and tell me who was really that other guy in the video store? Was it really your friend Wazza?
