Fun Monday

Fun Monday this week is hosted by Blue Momma;

Here’s da rules;

I want you to show me your......projects. More to the point, I want to see your unfinished projects.
I have so many that I really need some reassurance that I'm not the only one. Home improvement
projects are what I have in mind, but it you don't have any of those show me any kind of project -
needlework, cooking, scrapbooking, etc. You can even show me your spouse if they qualify as a
work in process.

And please, I WANT PICTURES!!!! You can talk if you want, but you don't have to. I know since
you are all bloggers talk is bound to happen, but I most definitely want to see photos of those
unfinished projects.

Yee- Haa, this one is easy!!!!!

Well Blue Momma this weeks task is just made in heaven for me, I have so many unfinished
projects (I can’t honestly remember the last finished one)
they range from big to small and from
easy to hard but the thing they all have in common is that they are unfinished and look like
stayin’ that way!!

The first couple that come to mind involve painting (not a preferred task I'm afraid)

In a rare fit of "get up and go" I went and bought the paint to redo the front and rear
porch floors which are lookin' a bit sad, but wouldn't ya know it my "get up and go"
got up and went before I even got the can open.......

This one is so simple I'm tempted to just up and do it, but as this would require a
complete break with tradition.... well I dunno?...... I've sort of got used to the white
patch on the Dukes hat now.....

Any project around here would require that I use this implement.......

And of course this contraption also offers a challenge, the number of hours that
could be spent with it are just plumb tirin' me out thinkin' about it.......

It don't take much of a look at this hangin' basket to see that a lot of
tender lovin' care is required.... and I just ain't goin' anywhere near
what some folks would laughingly call the "garden"... no sir....
All this has made me so tired I'm just gonna have to go and take
a nap now..... just close the gate on your way out..... ya just
sort of lift it into place and set it right down.......

HAHAHA-

You (and your unfinished projects) remind me of our place! They just sorta pile up after awhile.

Pretty funny Pop. Pretty sure it took more effort to set up the pics than to complete a couple of those projects!

I have no unfinished projects. Maryann won't let that happen. tee hee.

Besides, if I did, I wouldn't mention it. If Maryann knew about it then it would have to be finished. Snerx

at least you start projects.
I always ask the hubby to do everything. Poor guy.

I actually like to paint. And am known to get the job done pretty fast. At least when its finished you feel like you have achieved something. Now the vacuuming, you can do yourself. I hate it. Its a never ending thankless job.

Hi Peter....first let me tell you this is gonna be a real quick comment this time....why? If hubby saw this John Wayne ---he'd be wanting one too. LOL

I'll come paint the porches!! I love to paint.

Maybe painting is a girl thing... I love to paint too! I think it's the idea of being able to transform something so quickly that is appealing.

Peter - Boy could I get some pictures for you here. But... at the end of this summer, my wife went to San Francisco for three weeks with her mother and I was left with a lot of time on my hands. As a result, I finished every single one of them... including rebuilding and fixing our snow blower, painting and reorganizing our three car garage, I tore apart my work area in the basement, and re-did it all and painted it too. But the ONE thing I thought would just about kill me (and I have put off for 10 years) was chaulking my driveway and sidewalks. What a mess and I bet I went to Home Depot at least 10 times for more and more and more and more chalking. I ending up spending more than $200 U.S. just on chalking alone. I was also out there from dawn till dusk every day for 4 days straight. Now I know why it took me 10 years to get around to actually DOING IT. My knees still hurt! ~ jb///

I like to paint, too. It's just the getting started part that I have a problem with.....

Ooooh, and the vacuum? It scares me.

I did my brother's 2 porches this summer, but haven't finished my house. Too much to do and not enough time! LOL!
Poor little plant!

I love the commentary on this. I think I need a nap too. And don't worry the gate is closed.

Yer get up 'n' go has got up 'n' went? Perhaps you hanker fer a hunka, a slab er slice er chunka, perhaps you hanker fer a hunka cheese! (I'm sorry, I couldn't help it.)

That hanging basket looks like the near dead asparagus fern I trimmed back and actually WATERED this week. Check that project off the list for me!

I hate to say that I have a number of plants that look very similar to yours. But in my defense, we're in the midst of a horrible drought here in Atlanta and we have been banned from watering anything for months. I just can't get motivated to go outside and throw them away.

All my plants are dead - so you are doing better than me! You have made me want to take a nap --- going to lay down, now!

You made me giggle a bit there Peter. I think maybe the hanging basket might need to be retired, but I know that would require the effort to actually go do it....

Thanks for the info on the new PM. I didn't realize it was an election year for Australia.

Last year I painted our redwood fence for the first time in 19 years. So do you think it needed it? It is a lovely red color again. I used a sprayer that I had to pump up. It was sort of fun but I got tired of it and ran out of paint on the back side and that part still isn't finished. :D

That floor looks tricky....might want to think on that one for a while before you tackle it.

Say, Peter, the first time i ever visited your blog I thought the title was "Hottie's House" and it kind of surprized me! :D

Love painting. It's the plastering, sanding and taping to begin with that I can't stand. That John Wayne is priceless!

I am thinking your plants in the basket look a little like mine...wait a minute, it is winter here. I bought paint for the outhouse last year, and I haven't opened it either. I think I have some finished projects, no, that is at the neighbour's place.

Finished or not, I love the woodwork on your porch.
